A FAMILY business in Dorchester is springing into action this weekend as we welcome the start of British Summer Time.
As the clocks spring forward at 1am tonight Clockhouse Jewellers in South Street will be faced with the task of changing the time on around 80 clocks and other timepieces in the store.
Jonathan Burgess, who runs the store with sisters Clara and Amy and dad Fred, said that putting the clocks forward was much easier than when the clocks all had to be put back an hour in October.
He said: "Going forward is a lot easier than going back but I've still got to get round them all."
Jonathan added: "Going back is the harder part though so this is the better time of year - plus it's getting lighter and warmer as well."
Clockhouse Jewellers began life in the county town more than 50 years ago and last year returned to South Street, where it opened in 1963, after a spell in Durngate Street.
