POLICE have received reports of the theft of alloy wheels from a 4x4 vehicle that was parked and unattended in the Mount Skippet Way area of Crossways on Friday night.
The offenders removed all of the wheels including the spare, and left the vehicle propped up on bricks.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting crime number C:15:D:13091.
Dorchester Police are warning people on their Facebook page to be vigilant and take measures to deter thirves.
They said: "Simple preventative measures such as fitting locking wheel nuts will help to deter thieves.
"We would ask residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to contact Dorset Police."
