Seven-and-a-half tonnes of hay bales were destroyed in a blaze.
Two fire crews from Sturminster Newton and an off-road appliance from Bere Regis were sent to reports of a reporting a tractor and field on fire at Fifehead Neville at 12.14pm today.
Crews used three hose reel jets and firefighting foam and brought the fire under control at approximately a 1.40pm.
Crews said that the tractor and approximately seven-and-a-half tonnes of hay bales were destroyed by fire as well as 20,000 square meters of field stubble and straw.
