MORE than 20 events will fill a five-day programme as this year’s Dorchester Literary Festival is planned to be bigger and better than its first year.
A launch event was held at Duke’s Auctioneers in Brewery Square to get book lovers excited for this year’s programme.
The festival has been extended to a five-day event and is being held from Wednesday, October 19 to Sunday, October 23.
Headliners include Tracy Chevalier, Tony Robinson, Ann Cleeves, Victoria Hislop, Rachel Joyce, Dinah Jefferies, Richard Dannatt, Kate Adie, Alison Weir, Judith Millar, John Challis, Graham Hoyland, John Wright, Elizabeth Luard, and many more.
Paul Atterbury and Janet Gleeson, festival directors, said: “The festival is a few months away, being held in October. This launch is all about making sure there is local support and awareness. It is also a chance to explain what we have on this year and why it is bigger and better than last year.
Tickets go on sale on Monday, August 29. Visit dorchesterliteraryfestival.com for more.
