COASTGUARDS were called to concerns for a person 'overboard' in Weymouth bay.
Officers from Wyke Coastguards received the alert shortly before 9am.
Fortunately the situation was resolved.
A Wyke Coastguard spokesperson said: "After a Man Overboard marker (MOB) was found by a member of the public this morning we were tasked to investigate. At 08:38am we proceeded to Bowleaze Cove to investigate. Wessex Water were conducting a beach clean in the area and this helped us determine no persons were in distress. We removed the MOB to our store for later safe disposal."
