AN ARREST has been made after a man was locked in a six-hour stand-off with police after reportedly smashing windows and climbing a 40ft tower at a children’s camp.
Dorset Police said a man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following an incident at PGL Osmington.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: “A man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. We do not have any further updates.”
The incident prompted a major emergency response yesterday, Monday, which saw the police in a stand-off with a man for several hours.
Concerns were raised for his welfare and attempts were made to negotiate with him.
The man was then eventually brought to safety after six hours and taken to hospital.
