An evening of songs and wonderful stories is coming to a village near you.
Tango band Tango Calor will take you from the backstreets of Buenos Aires to the salons of Paris with their tour of Dorset village halls,
They will perform in Milborne St Andrew on Friday, October 14 at 7.30pm and Buckland Newton Village Hall on Saturday, October 15 at 7.30pm courtesy of touring arts organisation Artsreach.
Tango Calor are said to be one of the most exciting tango bands performing in the UK, appearing at tango dances and festivals up and down the country including WOMAD.
The trio are often invited to accompany visiting Argentine artists and have also collaborated with orchestras staging concerts of the music of Astor Piazzolla.
Expect an evening of songs and wonderful stories presented to you by sensational Latin vocalist Indira Roman (Salsa UK, Roberto Pla), Mirek Salmon (Welsh National Opera, Moscow Drug Club), one of the few masters of the bandoneon based in the UK, and wonderful Dutch jazz pianist Daan Temmink.
This is a show for young and old, for people who enjoy dancing or those who prefer to listen.
As an extra at Buckland Newton Village Hall a tango workshop for instrumentalist and vocalists will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 4pm to 6pm. Places £10. Telephone 01300 345455 to book.
