A man has been found guilty of causing the death of a motorcyclist on a west Dorset A-road.
Christopher Banke, 72, was convicted on Wednesday, June 7 following a three-day trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.
He had pleaded not guilty one charge of death by careless driving when he appeared at the same court in October last year to enter pleas.
It relates to an incident on October 10, 2021, in which Adrian Saunders, aged in his 50s and from Exeter, died following a crash on the A3066 Tunnel Road near Beaminster in west Dorset.
Banke, of Merriott, near Crewkerne, Somerset, was found to have caused the death of Mr Saunders by driving his Landrover Freelander without due care and attention.
His trial began on Monday, June 5 before jurors found him guilty three days later. The trial was originally expected to last for five days.
At an earlier hearing, the court was told how Banke had 'considerable experience' of driving along that stretch of road.
The court heard how the Landrover pulled out in front of Mr Saunders.
Banke will be sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, July 27.
