Several people have been injured and taken to hospital after two vehicles collided on a stretch of Dorset road north of Crossways. 

The B3390 was partially blocked in both directions due to the crash near the Tincleton/Bovington Camp turn off which involved a car and a lorry.

Three people have been taken to hospital after two land ambulances and an air ambulance were called to the scene after minor injuries were sustained, according to police.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We we were called at 10.40am to a report of a two vehicle collision on the B3390 near the turning for Weymouth in the Waddock Farm area.

"Officers attended with fire and ambulance services and recovery has been requested for the vehicles.

"Minor injuries reported."

South Western Ambulance Service said “We were called at 10:43hrs on Monday, December 18 to a road traffic incident on the B3390, near Waddock Cross.

"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an operations officer, a doctor, and an air ambulance.

"We conveyed three patients by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
