The first cruise ship of the 2024 season has arrived at Portland.
AIDAsol docked at 8.46am today after travelling from Lexioes in Portugal.
It was carrying 2,194 passengers two days earlier according to the boat tracking website Cruise Mapper.
Prior to its trip to Lexioes, cruise ship previously visited Spain, the Canary Islands, South America, and Australia as part of its Weltreise round trip 2023.
It originally departed from Hamburg, Germany on October 27 and will be returning there in the next few days
AIDAsol is a Sphinx-class cruise ship built at Meyer Werft in 2011 for AIDA Cruises. It is the fifth Sphinx-class AIDA line, and this trip marks the first visit to Portland this year.
