A man was fined after police found a quantity of cocaine in his shoe.
Liam Gregory, aged 30, appeared before Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Thursday, March 8 charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug of Class A.
Gregory, of Liberty Way in Poole, pleaded guilty to the offence.
Nicola Reece, prosecuting, said: "The defendant was arrested on an unrelated matter and taken to the police station in Weymouth.
"He was searched and officers found a bag containing a white substance in his shoe which was identified as 0.87g of cocaine."
Patricia Sheehan, mitigating, said: "The defendant has no previous drug-related convictions, he is on universal credit and has stable accommodation.
"He has a daughter who he is in regular contact with."
Gregory was fined £120 and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £48.
Magistrates ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
