Lifeguards will be operational at Weymouth beach today for the school Easter holidays.
The Weymouth lifeguards will be watching over the town's main beach this Good Friday, March 29, from 10am to 6pm.
They will then be present seven days a week throughout the Easter school holidays.
The lifesavers have just completed seven day RNLI lifeguard inductions at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre (JRCC) in Fareham.
In that time they carried out their first joint training exercise of the year with Weymouth Lifeboat Inshore Lifeboat (ILB).
A spokesman said: "Many thanks to senior maritime operations officer, Kim for hosting a super informative visit.
"It has been a busy seven days, with fitness tests, core lifeguard skills, and theory assessments, along with Casualty Care and Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB) revalidations."
