A man in his 20s was pinned against a wall in Weymouth and robbed.
He was attacked by a man in New Street and his wallet and bankcard were taken.
It is reported that the offender then made off in the direction of Bond Street towards the NatWest bank.
The victim’s bankcard was later used to make several fraudulent transactions.
The offender – who is known to the victim – is described as aged in his mid-20s, six feet tall, of heavy build with short brown hair.
Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate the robbery which took place at around 8.30am on Wednesday, April 10.
Information regarding the incident has only just been released by police.
Police Constable Joseph Garrard, of Weymouth police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the man responsible for this robbery.
“I would like to hear from any witnesses who were in the area at the time who may have seen what happened.”
