Police visited a Weymouth address linked to a number of recent crime and anti-social behaviour reports.

Officers from Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team visited a property on Lennox Street yesterday alongside representatives from Aster Housing following these reports.

Police will continue to work with the tenant, neighbours and partners to try and resolve recent tensions and problems associated with the address and people that have been visiting.

A notice was left at the address which reads: Dorset Police has identified this address as at risk of being used in crime.

Dorset Police will continue to conduct welfare visits to the occupants and take positive action against persons suspected of committing crime.

Expect a high number of visits from the police and specialist units at this address and other identified addresses within this area.

Dorset Police are committed to working in partnership to reduce crime.

A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: “Officers from the neighbourhood team have visited an address on Lennox Street in Weymouth with Aster Housing.

“This is following recent reports of crime and anti-social behaviour from the address in question.

“We will continue to work with the tenant, neighbours and partners to try and resolve recent tensions and problems associated with the address and persons that have been visiting.”
