A RURAL road in west Dorset is to be temporarily closed to allow water works to be carried out.
Higher Eype Road will be shut between its junction with Broad Lane and a point approximately 615 metres northwest from May 15.
Work will be done by Wessex Water to insert a slipline in a new water main and make new connections.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by May 24.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Higher Eype Road, Higher Eype in the area the temporary closure has been made for.

The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using the A35.
Throughout the duration, temporary signals will be in use on the A35 at the junction with Eype Down Road/Quarr Lane.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
