RINGWOOD Motocross Club returned to the sandy terrain at Tincleton on a superbly prepared circuit to start round 11 of the championship series.
With another entry of more than 200 competitors, the racing lived up to previous rounds, but it was a mixed day for Weymouth’s Sam Lycett, and Finly Abbott.
Following a sensational cut and thrust day of action in the big-wheel 85s, Lycett took the runner-up spot as Charlie Cole bagged maximum points with three excellent race wins.
Abbott, usually always so dominant in the automatic 50cc class, just could not find his feet at Tincleton and eventually finished in sixth position overall.
George Hopkins was the quickest youngster on the day in Abbott’s class, with both race wins under his belt.
