CHANNEL Islanders Adrian and Brian Moody return to Char-mouth for the Manor Farm speed hillclimb this weekend with their Ralt RT3.

The father-and-son combination will be seeking overall victory but will have to face the challenge of the experienced Stuart Browne from Chard in his OMS SF2.

The fourth Woolbridge Motor Club event at Manor Farm Holiday Park has attracted a quality entry across the various classes which range from road-going cars, through modified categories to single-seater racing cars including a 12-strong class of 500cc racing cars the ilk of which Stirling Moss developed his skills.

This category will see Tim Sage from Bridport at the wheel of his Cooper-Jap Mk2.

The rally car class sees Craig Moore from Lyme Regis take his Ford Cortina GT up against the rapid Darrian T90 pilot from Wimborne, Tim Porter.

Both drivers have held the class record at Manor Farm so a fierce battle for supremacy is in pros-pect.

Craig’s son Ryan will compete in a Ford Puma he purchased a few weeks ago from a neighbour.

Recent Wiscombe Park class winner Stewart Green will be seeking similar glory in the road-going Specialist Production car class in his Sylva Riot.

The Frampton driver’s main opposition is likely to come from the Megabusa-powered Westfield of Adrian Lewis.

While Weymouth Westfield father and son duo, Graham and Geoff Blake will be in action with their Vauxhall-powered machine in the Modified Specialist Production car category.

Of particular interest to those who favour cars from yesteryear will be Rory Weaver’s Riley 1.5.

The Weymouth driver will take his 1960s machine up against more contemporary opposition in the road going category, which in today’s event includes the Mazda MX5 of Dorchester driver Merv Brake.

Tomorrow, Kevin Joy will face the rapid Honda Integra of George Koopman in the 1,800cc to 2,600cc capacity split of the road-going Series Production car class in his two-litre four-wheel drive turbo Suabru Impreza.

* Admission: Today and tomorrow £6. Accompanied children under-14 free. Car parking is also free.
