THREE-TIMES Commonwealth Games gold medallist Ellen Falkner enjoyed a superb day at Moonfleet Bowls Club, as she gave members a few pointers and let them try out her Aerobowls product range on their newly-laid carpet.
The Cambridgeshire star also opened the surface at the club, as well as posing for pictures and answering questions.
“I had a great time, the club is very welcoming and the members were great,” she told Echosport.
“My husband has played against Moonfleet before but I have never been there so it was nice to come down for the first time.
“I run a bowls manufacturing company over here in the UK so it was an opportunity for people to try different bows that are fairly new on the mar- ket and to spend some time on the green.
“There is a really strong sense of community there. It’s a lovely club and I hope more people join them after the promotional things we did.”
Speaking on behalf of the club, Moonfleet’s Mike Gale added: “We were really busy, there were queues of people waiting to get out there and have a go with the bowls.
“For her to come all the way from Cambridge to do it was brilliant and for so many members to come down and watch was really good.”
