DEFENDER Steve Walker has left Dorchester Town to join Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals Frome.

Walker’s chances of game time at the Avenue had been limited since the arrival of Chris Dillon and Matt Oldring.

Frome made an approach for the centre-half and Walker agreed terms with the Somerset club after speaking to manager Adrian Foster.

“We’ve got an excess of centre-halves and Steve wasn’t going to get as many games as he would have liked,” said Magpies’ boss Graham Kemp.

“Frome made an approach, we let them speak to him, they’ve done the deal and we wish him all the best.”
