PUDDLETOWN racer James Shanes is setting his sights on a mission overseas next year, as he looks set to qualify for the 2015 European Grasstrack Championship.
The 17-year-old, who has also competed in speedway for the Devon Demons, part of the Plymouth Devils team, has pushed for a spot in European action after an impressive run of results.
He secured wins in the Wimborne Whoppa, Frittenden’s Summer Spectacular and the prestigious Masters Challenge event, as well as scooping the British Under-21 title.
In addition to his European Championship hopes, Shanes is also aiming to be able to take in some stand alone meetings in Holland, France and Germany.
Shanes is extremely grateful to the following companies for their assistance: MCS Ltd, RTS Racing Products, Rock Oil, Specsavers (Poole), Jarvis Commercial Sound (Christchurch), SJR Bikes (Dorchester) RRE and Rhino Goo.
