MARCO Nott says those players dropped from the Balti House side for tomorrow’s clash with Okeford United (2pm) cannot have any complaints after last weekend’s humiliating defeat by Holt.

Balti boss Nott felt his team’s 8-1 thrashing at Gaunts Common was the worst result in the club’s history, describing the visitors’ performance as “absolutely pathetic”.

He has made it clear that heads will roll on the back of such an inept display.

Luckily for the Dorset Senior League leaders they have a number of players available who weren’t able to play last time out.

Charlie Kenderdine, Ricky Lane, Lewis Ironside, Olly Stanton, Karl Dean and Carl McClements are all expected to return.

“I hope things turn around quite quickly for us,” said Nott. “We have to bounce back tomorrow, and in style.

“Playing Okeford gives us a chance to get back on track, though they won’t be pushovers. We played them at the start of the season and needed a last-minute winner to beat them 2-1 at their place.

“There will be five or six changes and the lads that don’t play can’t have any arguments.

“I wouldn’t have ever expected a result like that, it was just embarrassing.

“We’ve put in so much hard work but it felt like we’d thrown it all away with that result.”

Chickerell United, hot on Balti’s heels in second, entertain Corfe Mullen United at the Stalls (2pm).

Pete Jarvis and Stuart Walbridge are back in contention for Steve Coward’s men, who saw off Blandford United Reserves 5-3 last Saturday.

“Corfe Mullen will be tough but if we can do well against them and in the next two games at Holt and South Cheriton then we will be in the driving seat,” said Coward.

“But you don’t know what sort of side you’re going to get with Corfe, they lost 4-0 to Portland’s reserves last Saturday but beat Gillingham 6-0 the week before that."

Dorchester Sports, Piddletrenthide Spartans and Portland have home advantage against Blandford, Witchampton United and Sturminster Newton United respectively (all 2pm).
