MANAGER Jason Matthews is not at all fussed about the odds for the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division title.

The Terras, who travel to face Gosport Borough in their final pre-season friendly tomorrow (3pm), were this week listed as 8/1 shots to lift the crown by a leading bookmaker and 10/1 by another.

A trio of joint favourites in the form of Poole Town, St Neots Town and new boys Merthyr Tydfill were all given 6/1 price tags.

Poole are as short as 4/1 with other odds setters.

But the Weymouth chief, whose side go to Cambridge City on the opening day next Saturday, is not looking at any predictions or forecasts.

He told Echosport: “Whoever does the odds have looked at the clubs and who did what last year.

“I haven’t really looked at them myself but I have been told we are 8/1.

“They are what they are and I won’t be reading a lot into it. I have done a lot of homework on sides in the league this year so we will see.”

Mark Jermyn’s Dorchester Town are currently priced at 16/1 to be champions.
