STUART Heath insists the Magpies are very much looking forward to the challenge they face over the next few days.

The county town club go to Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division leaders Chippenham today before the first Ridgeway derby of the campaign at the Avenue on Monday (both 3pm).

“Two games against teams in the top six will be a challenge for us but it’s one we are looking forward to,” said first-team coach Heath.

“We want to play teams at the top of the league because that’s where we ultimately want to be.

“We’ve got to play to our strengths and really show them in the next two games.

“We showed at Hungerford that we are capable of matching good teams, but we need to do that on a consistent basis.

“Chippenham and Weymouth are two sides that will come at us but we feel we’ve got enough in the squad to show what we can do and be in that top six.”

Dorchester have failed to score in their last two outings against Frome and Dunstable, and it is all about not rushing things as far as Heath is concerned.

He added: “We’ve just got to show a bit more patience when trying to break teams down.

“We didn’t have enough creativity or patience to break down Dunstable but we’ve got to take it as a compliment when sides try to contain us like they did.”
