BALTI Sports go in search of a league double over Bridport Reserves when the sides battle it out at Weymouth College tomorrow (2pm).

Marco Nott’s men forced a 1-0 victory when the teams clashed at St Mary’s Field back in August, with Josh Houghton netting the winner to sink Shaun Annetts’ side three minutes from time.

While Balti occupy a top-three spot in the league at present, Bridport’s fortunes have been mixed with just four league victories coming from 18 games this term.

But Nott believes the Bees are far more capable than their 16th-placed league position suggests and is expecting a tough contest.

“We had a really good game against them,” he told Echosport.

“They are a good side and I quite rate them to be honest, they have some good young players down there.

“They are definitely at least a mid-table side. There is always a danger in playing a reserve team as well because you don’t know what the first team is going to do really.

“We will definitely respect them. They are in a false position in the league I think.”

Shane Lock, Danny Andrews and John Litherland are all set to come back into the Balti squad this weekend.

Elsewhere in the division, Weymouth Reserves are set to host lowly Cranborne at the Bob Lucas Stadium (2pm).

A win for the Terras could see them leapfrog Balti in the league standings.

In the Dorset Senior League, Chickerell United could go top with a victory over Poole Borough at the Stalls (2pm).
