HAVING had their clash at Wimborne & Colehill Seconds washed out last weekend, Weymouth look to get back in action in County Division One when they host Shroton at Redlands (1.30pm).

The Seasiders, who have one win from three completed games so far this season, sit third in the division at present with a nine-point gap between themselves and leaders Ferndown Wayferers, who beat them at Redlands two weeks ago.

Shroton, with two wins and a washout from just three league games so far, are currently second, a point above the Seasiders in the league table.

One man who is not set to take to the field this weekend is all-rounder Simon Browne, who totalled 89 against Wayfarers two weeks ago.

He is unavailable, meaning Kieron Womble is expected to captain Weymouth this weekend.

Should the Seasiders triumph tomorrow, they will equal the amount of wins they racked up throughout the whole of their 18 Premier League contests last summer.

Shroton’s last victory came with a four-wicket triumph over Bere Regis two weeks ago.

n In County Division Two, fourth-placed Portland Red Triangle make the trip to Marnhull.

Portland are currently 11 points behind leaders Branksome in the league, hosts Marnhull are yet to win a game this term.
