DORCHESTER captain Simon Mitchem hailed bowling duo James Dunham and Josh Richardson’s respective starts to the campaign.

The pair, who opened the bowling and blew away the Stalbridge top six between them last weekend, are both set to feature when the county town side take on Parley at the Rec tomorrow (1pm).

As a pace duo, Dunham and Richardson have claimed 28 victims already in the Premier Division and Mitchem is keen to see more of the same.

Speaking about both bowlers, he said: “They complement each other well I think.

“Obviously James has been at Dorchester for years and taken loads of wickets and Josh has just come in, which works well.

“Josh has just started to settle in now and get his rhythm, which is great.

“I think it has taken him a few games to get used to playing on these type of decks rather than the hard, bouncy ones that he was used to playing on for Clayesmore School.”

Going into the clash against bottom side Parley, Mitchem added: “I suspect those two will probably lead from the front again.

“Two or three wickets in the first 10 overs makes a massive difference. The pressure is all off you, and we have done that this year.”

David Trotter, Will McKay and Quenton Miller are set to be unavailable for the county town side this week. George Foot returns.
