THREE of BustinSkin’s top triathletes have been selected for Great Britain’s team for the Middle Distance European Championships held in Austria this September.

Giles Heaman, Andy Marsh and Ashley Scott will be taking on the race – in their age groups – which is a half ironman distance.

Heaman has raced the event before in Weymouth last year and feels that experience will help him this time around.

He told Echosport: “To have my first championships in my hometown was fantastic.

“I know what to expect this year and I know the ropes.

“We’re all really looking forward to the beautiful scenery in Austria. It’s going to be special.

“I’d like to finish top five in my age group, that would be great.”

Heaman’s teammate Jamie Hendrie finished fourth in the Long Distance European Championships in Poznan last week with a time of 09:34:14, 17 minutes behind third placed David Prochazka.
