DORCHESTER’S James Dunham is looking to keep his impressive campaign with the ball going for the rest of the summer.
The seamer has claimed 27 scalps in the Dorset Funeral Plan Premier Division this term so far, making him the joint leading wicket-taker in the league, alongside Wimborne’s Tom Caines.
Dunham also spent last winter playing for Burleigh Cricket Club in the Gold Coast League in Australia.
Speaking about that trip, he told Echosport: “It was a good experience. It was good socially as well.
“I went out there to travel a bit and play a bit of cricket, so it was a good combination.
“It was in completely different conditions with faster bowlers as well. I had to adapt my game a bit which seems to have worked a bit since I have come back, which is good.”
On his current form back in English conditions, he added: “I just want to keep it going for the rest of the season.
“I have been at the club since I was young and it’s probably the best team we have been since we last won the league. We have a good set of players who are pushing forward.”
