JASON Matthews admits he is expecting an “incredibly tough game” when he takes his Terras side to Frome Town tonight (7.45pm).

The Weymouth player-manager, who was part of the team that bounced back with a 1-0 win against Redditch on Saturday, is expecting to have Chris Shephard back available, while former Robins’ man Dean Evans is set to miss out with a knee problem.

Giving an update on the midfielder’s injury, Matthews told Echosport: “Dean is still sore but he has made an improvement since Saturday, which is good news.

“It may not be quite as bad as we first feared, which is a good thing.

“I don’t think he will be fit for tonight but Chris Shephard will come back into the squad. That’s the beauty of having a little bit of a bigger squad this year, you can address the situation when one of your key players gets injured.”

Speaking about tonight’s opponents, who have scored eight goals in winning two of their first three league fixtures, Matthews added: “Frome had a great end to last season, so they have not surprised me.

“I am expecting an incredibly tough game and it is what I would class as a local derby, obviously not quite to the intensity of Dorchester, but Frome will come at us.

“We are away from home and we need to be disciplined.

“If we do that, keep our shape well and play our stuff, there is no reason we cannot come away with a positive result.”
