WEYMOUTH came a close second to their hosts Lyme Regis at the Lyme Regatta.
It was a breezy and sunny day with many clubs taking part from all over the South West of the country.
Sea conditions were very choppy with spectators watching from the Cob.
Rowing took place in front of Monmouth Beach covering a triangular course.
Weymouth built up their successes and achieved four convincing first places, the ladies C, ladies B, men’s C and ladies vets all raised their oars at the end of their heats.
Lyme won the overall trophy by the narrowest of margins with just one point over Weymouth, with rivals Bridport coming in a close third.
A spokesperson for Weymouth said: “It was a very successful regatta.
“Thanks to the Lyme Regis hosts and an enjoyable day was had by all.”
