WEYMOUTH & Portland turn their attentions to Dorset & Wilts Knockout Vase action tomorrow, when they welcome Melksham to Monmouth Avenue (3pm).

Flanker Tom Drummond, brothers, lock forward Kevin and utility forward John Leatham and utility back Rob Smith all return to the squad.

Speaking ahead of the contest, club skipper Ryan Lewendon said: “We haven’t played Melksham for a few years, so we really don’t know what to expect from them so we must make the best of our home advantage if we are to progress into the quarter-finals.

“I would like to welcome our former captain Kevin Leatham back into the side for the first time this season.”

The winners of the clash will play Supermarine in the next round of the competition on Saturday, October 15.

n The Seaside club’s second XV have no game this weekend and get a bye into the quarter-final of the Dorset & Wilts Second Team Shield.

That fixture takes place on Saturday, December 3, when they will go head to head with Dorchester’s second team, also at Monmouth Avenue.
