DORCHESTER Town manager Mark Jermyn has called for his players to remain consistent as they get set to face Chippenham Town tonight at the Avenue (7.45pm).

It has been a great two weeks for the Magpies after picking up seven points from their last three games.

On Saturday, they picked up their first home win in the league since February in a 1-0 triumph over St Neots Town, but they face a much tougher test against the Bluebirds this evening, who are fourth in the league despite a harrowing 4-0 defeat to King’s Lynn Town at the weekend.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Jermyn told Echosport: “They are really pushing for promotion this season. They have backed it financially and they have a very good squad. We know it will be tough.

“We can match these teams but it’s about getting that level of performance and consistency.

“That’s what we’re fighting for the most, a level of consistency in our individual and team performances.

“We have to come together tonight and give a dogged performance.”

The county town side are set to name a similar team that won on Saturday as they have no fresh injury concerns.

Asked whether he will adopt a different strategy against Chippenham, Jermyn answered: “The boys that have played the last two games have won two games.

“We’re unbeaten in three and we’re searching for that stability.

“We may not change too much but it’s football, anything can happen.”

Dorchester currently sit 19th in the standings but could leap up to mid-table if they secure three points tonight.
