LEAGUE action returns to Monmouth Avenue tomorrow, as Weymouth & Portland are visited by Bournemouth Thirds (3pm).

After a weekend of inactivity when the Seaside Club received a walkover into the quarter-finals of the Dorset and Wilts Knockout Vase, they will be looking to get going again against the side top of the league after two rounds of fixtures.

First team manager Vaughan Carter said: “Bournemouth came up with us from Division Two last season and so far have won both of their league matches scoring 149 points and conceding only 10.

“We beat them twice in our promotion campaign, but both games could have gone either way, so we will have to be at our very best.”

Centre Bryn Llewellyn has completed his enforced month’s lay-off and fully recovered from the head injury he picked up at Bridport pre-season.

He returns to the squad, as does utility back Dan Hayne.

*Weymouth and Portland’s second team visit Ellingham and Ringwood in Dorset & Wilts Division Three tomorrow.
