JOSIAH Wells-Parkes was the latest winner at the Dorchester & District Angling Society junior championship.

Wells-Parkes’s haul of 50lb 12ozs proved unassailable.

Taking place at Chester’s Lake at Whitemoor, most juniors opted for the method feeder as their main line of attack, but one or two would try the pole.

Jack Copp caught some larger fish close to his platform, but narrowly missed out on a top-two finish, placing third with 39lb 7os.

Austin Scott-Kennedy was runner-up was 39lb 13oz of margin caught carp.

But Wells-Parkes took the honours, claiming 25 points in the standings as well as a £15 voucher for Alan’s Angling.
