DORCHESTER travel to Holly’s Corner tomorrow in their Counties One Tribute Southern South fixture with Bath-based Combe Down (2.30pm).

The hosts sit one place below their visitors in the league table, having won a game less, but both sides have interestingly drawn their respective games with Royal Wootton Bassett Seconds.

Having picked up only one win on the road this campaign so far, Dorchester will look to get themselves back on track and bring back the win.

Director of rugby, Martin Oxland, will be hoping for some good news on the fitness tests for five of his regular starting line-up.

Callum King and Steve Tucker both picked up knocks from last weekend, whilst George Foot, Joe Underhill and Charlie Sharpe are all working through individual return-to-play protocols.

Alex Peel is sidelined after injury last time out, with both Tom Louch and Alex Sharp unavailable this weekend. However, back in contention come Brooke Legg and Laurence Burch for both senior sides.

Following two disappointing results at Surcouf Park, Oxland has seen the players work hard in training and says the squad have had an honest review of recent performances.

This weekend will be no different in that the team will need to put in a strong individual and collective performance to achieve the much-desired win.

Dorchester A will welcome Bournemouth Thirds to Surcouf Park for their Counties Three Tribute Dorset & Wilts South fixture (2.30pm).

The home side sit sixth in the table as opposed to their visitors’ eighth place. All is to play for on the pitch as a win for either side could lift them up the table.
