DORCHESTER Sports have a tricky Dorset Premier League test against in-form Wimborne Town Reserves at the Avenue Stadium tomorrow (2pm).

Ashley James’ men face the third-placed Magpies, who have lost only one league game this season, after a week off.

Prior to that, Sports had demolished Puddletown 9-0 but the county town side have seen mixed results this season, taking five wins and five losses in ten games.

They consequently sit 10th in the table but James is hoping a return to the Avenue can help his side cause an upset.

He told Echosport: “It’s tough, especially after having a week off and then only having a bit of game time against Sherborne. It’s been a bit patchy.

“They’ve been playing pretty much every week but it’s nice to be back at home and we’ll give it a go against a good side.

“I think even if they went to the worst pitches in the league they’d still try and play football, they’re that sort of team.

“It’s going to be a tough game, there’s no doubt about that. But our home record’s been decent this year. Hopefully we can take that positive result against Puddletown into this game.

“The lads were on fire, with some real attacking football. It was a dominant performance in front of a really good crowd.

“It was a brilliant day. I hope we get a few more because I enjoyed that one.”

Todd Coombs and Ash Smith are in limbo with suspensions looming, while Nick Hutchings (groin) is 50/50.

Joel Hewitt is unavailable while Josh Pratt (groin) is awaiting an MRI scan.
