DORCHESTER will be looking to end their run of disappointing defeats tomorrow at Surcouf Park, but a tough Counties One Tribute Southern South clash awaits them against North Dorset (2.30pm).

The visitors have been pushing hard so far this season and scoring well, currently sitting in third place in the table.

With only two losses so far this term, against the sides above and below them in the table, it may well be felt they are favourites to take the points. Dorchester, however, may well believe that the home advantage and the support that brings may boost their performance.

Hoping for better news on the injury front, director of rugby Martin Oxland will name his team late to give those facing any fitness concerns time to show they are ready to return.

Tom and Jimmy Louch are both available again as is Cameron Mullins, however it seems that both Alex Peel and Callum King may well be out until January.

Oxland is hoping to keep changes to a minimum from last weekend and knows continuity will build confidence and stability to the squad.

Confidence is still high in the squad, knowing they have the ability to put big performances in, and are united in their desire to climb the table by fighting hard for wins.

Steve Tucker will again lead the side from the front and ask all his players to show well for the vocal home support this weekend.

The crowd will be boosted by way of the club having it’s first ‘Farmers Day’ being supported by main sponsor Highwood, along with NFU Mutual, Synergy Farm Health and Symonds & Sampson.

It celebrates the local agricultural community, all it provides and the importance of it to the regional economy. It is hoped this may become an annual event hosted by these local businesses.

Meanwhile, Dorchester A take the short trip to Wimborne to take on their third XV in the Counties Three Cup competition.

Hoping to get back to winning ways, Jamie Jackson will take a strong squad to Gordon Road, knowing full well it will be a fiercely contested fixture.
