DORCHESTER will aim to make it three victories in a row in tomorrow's Counties One Tribute Southern South away clash with Royal Wootton Bassett Seconds (2pm).

The Wiltshire outfit sit one place above them in the table but Dorchester’s director of rugby, Martin Oxland, will have players returning from injury to add to his selection process given Steve Tucker, Tom Louch and Alex Peel all had game time last weekend in the win over Avonvale.

Brook Legg remains out injured and Callum King still doubtful of a recovery in time. Oxland will hope that recent results will have invigorated the squad and with confidence building his side can grind out a win away from home.

Following a draw, the last time the two sides met in late September, the county town outfit will feel buoyed by two strong showings and high points tallies.

If the side can create chances and work hard for the full 80 minutes, they can give their travelling supporters something to cheer after only picking up one win on the road so far this season.

If they can pull off two more wins in a row there is chance of moving up the table into the top half as the end of the league season approaches.

Their opponents have a similar mixed bag of scorelines thus far this term and come off the back of a narrow defeat against Dorchester next opponents Corsham.

In the reverse fixture, Dorchester started the game very quickly scoring early, but then fell foul of discipline and some inconsistency in the line-out.

The game went right down to the last minutes with this weekend’s hosts picking up a late try to draw the game, and despite stringent efforts in the dying seconds the Surcouf Park based side just could not cross the Bassett line to claim the win.

Dorchester A welcome Poole to Surcouf Park in their Counties Three Tribute Dorset & Wilts fixture (2pm).

After last weekend’s 62-0 defeat at local rivals Puddletown, the side will want to pick up a win at home against the team above them in the table.
