AFTER a week off, Dorchester head back into Counties One Tribute Southern South action at Gypsy Lane to lock horns with fourth-placed Frome.

Last time out, the county town outfit lost 29-20 at Surcouf Park in an injury-disrupted game despite a strong second-half fightback.

Dorchester will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of the 36-26 loss to Weymouth & Portland, as ever taking the many positives from the game and addressing the areas for improvement.

A young side, picking up a try bonus-point, showed strength of character to fight back from 19-0 down, demonstrating the togetherness and great spirit within the group supporting each other to the final whistle.

No doubt Frome will provide a stern test for the side and, in keeping with developing new players, Flynn Drummond is joined by fellow colt Freddie Lambourn in the squad, along with one of last year’s colts Dylan Walters.

All three are testament to the youth section at Dorchester and commitment from the players to move into senior rugby.

Late injury calls will be made for Jack Adams and George Foot, Tom Gower is out of action with an injury to his ribs and Alex Peel is unavailable under the concussion protocols following the previous game.

John Bowden and Matt Fry both return to bolster the squad having recovered from recent injuries.

Dorchester now sit eighth in the table following Weymouth’s concession against Combe Down last weekend, thus gifting the Bath-based outfit the hard-earned five points.

Weymouth & Portland will hope to bounce back away to fifth-placed Walcot tomorrow.

Elsewhere, Dorchester A travel to Chapel Gate to take on Bournemouth Thirds in their Counties Three Tribute Dorset & Wilts South fixture.

Several colts will again take to the field in their early steps into senior rugby as Jamie Jackson leads the side into action for this competitive fixture.
