DORCHESTER Town’s resurgence continued with a thrilling 4-3 win away at Beaconsfield Town.

Strikes from former Poole Town trio Will Spetch, Luke Pardoe and Marcus Daws, before a late own goal, earned victory for Tom Killick’s charges.

Magpies are now unbeaten in five matches and sit 14th in the Southern League Premier South table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Killick made one change from the side which won at home against Beaconsfield the previous weekend, with Pardoe making his first start for the club, as Will Fletcher dropped to the bench.

Beaconsfield had a good early chance, Magpies goalkeeper Jameson Horlick doing well to deny Asher Yearwood.

Just like the last meeting between the two sides, Dorchester got their noses in front, Spetch heading in at the back post from a Corby Moore corner.

But Beaconsfield quickly levelled, Jacques Kpohomouh bundling home.

The turnaround was complete before half-time, the hosts taking the lead as James Dobson lobbed the ball over Horlick.

Dorch made a strong start to the second half, Spetch seeing a header cleared off the line before Pardoe fired in the equaliser, his first goal for the club.

Less than 10 minutes later, Magpies struck again, another set piece causing problems with Daws on hand to turn in and put his side 3-2 up.

A Moore free-kick was then turned into his own net by a Rams defender to give Dorchester a cushion.

A successful penalty from Dobson gave Beaconsfield hope, but the visitors saw out the win.

Dorchester return to action on Tuesday night, away at Tiverton Town (7.45pm).
