LEGENDARY Weymouth manager Mark Molesley has resigned from his post at Hayes & Yeading with immediate effect, United have confirmed.
Molesley’s resignation comes with the Middlesex club hovering one point above the Pitching In Southern League Premier South drop zone with eight games remaining.
His departure from United will fuel speculation linking him with the vacant Weymouth manager’s job, opened up after Bobby Wilkinson’s exit on Wednesday.
In a brief statement, Hayes confirmed the news.

“The club can confirm that Mark Molesley has resigned as first-team manager at Hayes & Yeading United, ahead of the Easter weekend games.
“The club have placed coaches Delroy Preddie and Peter Stanford in interim charge of team affairs.”
Molesley left Weymouth in August 2020 after guiding the Terras to back-to-back promotions into the National League.
He has since taken up managerial jobs at Southend, Aldershot and Gosport before latterly joining Hayes & Yeading.
