DORCHESTER Town are a “different proposition” since losing 2-1 to Sholing in October and are eager to rectify that loss to the Boatmen, boss Tom Killick insists.

The Magpies come into the away game during their best run for more than 19 years, currently unbeaten in nine matches.

While Dorchester’s run has taken them to 11th and within sight of safety, Sholing have slipped to the bubble of the relegation zone in 18th with only a two-point cushion to Tiverton.

Dorchester will also have to guard against tiredness after a packed Easter schedule and more than two hours of playing with 10 men.

Speaking to Echosport, Killick said: “I did feel at times (on Saturday) you could see there was a bit of tiredness. What we can’t do now is just finish with a whimper.

“We feel we’ve developed into a strong group. If you have, then you don’t allow a little bit of positivity in terms of results to derail you.

“You have to keep focus. That’s now the big challenge, they’ve got to show a good mentality now. It’s something I’ll be looking at very closely.”

Addressing the Sholing loss in October, Killick added: “It’s one of the low points, I’m really disappointed with that performance and it’s one that really sticks in my mind.

“Hopefully, the players also remember how poor we were that day and we do feel we’re a different proposition now. We’ve got to go out and show that.”

Marcus Daws will be assessed with a tight calf, while Will Spetch serves the second of a five-game suspension.
