DORCHESTER Sports are aiming to continue their good fortune at Turlin Moor when they tackle Poole Borough in the Dorset Premier League today (3pm).

Ashley James’ men have only away matches left on their calendar to close out the season and could potentially finish sixth.

Ahead of their first of five matches in 18 days to close out the 2023/24 campaign, James told Echosport: “We’ve had a couple of weeks off.

“It’s not ideal because you want to get the season finished. We’ve got five away games in quick succession so we’ll pick up as many points as we can.

“We’ve got a good record there, so the lads will it their all. They’ve had two tough games Saturday and Wednesday where we haven’t played.

“They played Stur Newton, so a tough game but only losing 3-2 at their place is not a bad result.

“So, we’re going to be in for a tough game but we’ll be fresh and they’ve picked up a couple of injuries, looking at their Facebook last night.

“(Turlin Moor) can be a leveller but we’ve done well there. We’ve won the last three years, so we’ll be fine.”

Dorchester Sports are also set to boast a squad almost at full strength for the trip to the Hornets.

“Nick Hutchings is back in goal,” James added.

“Really, from there it’s very similar. The only people that miss out are Darren Watts and Billy Brumble.”
