Bere thundered along to victory in just nine overs, thanks to a brutal 59 from 32 balls by Tom Munnings, the youngster smashing eight fours and a six.

James Keegan (14no) played the anchor role as Munnings’ destructive hitting ensured the match was sewn up by 4.23pm.

Speaking to Echosport, skipper Keegan said: “It was a very comfortable day at the office.

“Rich was on a hat-trick at one stage and bowled ten straight into the wind, he did really well. Once we got them four down it was a case of going for the jugular.

“Because of the way things worked out, I thought about giving other people an opportunity. Tom went up top and slapped the ball all over the place.

“I couldn’t ask for a quicker, more comprehensive win.”

Bere Seconds lost by five wickets at Kingston Lacy in County Division Three.”
