A road in Weymouth was closed following a car crashing into a wall in the early hours of the morning.
Littlemoor Road in Weymouth had been closed after a car crashed into the wall near the Upwey train station tunnel.
The incident was reported around 4.32am on today (Thursday, May 2).
It is reported that the car crashed into a wall.
According to police, both vehicles were recovered around 11.45am. The road is still closed, with officers in attendance.
A driver reportedly fled the scene and enquiries into the incident are ongoing. Officers left the scene around 1.10pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 4.32am on Thursday 2 May 2024, Dorset Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision in Littlemoor Road in Weymouth, close to the Upwey train station tunnel.
"It is reported that a vehicle has collided with a wall. Officers are in attendance to the incident and the road is currently closed.
"No injuries have been reported.
"There were two vehicles involved in the collision. It is reported that the driver of one of the vehicles left the scene and enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
"Both vehicles were recovered at around 11.45am and officers left the scene at around 1.10pm.
"No arrests have been made. Vehicles being recovered and looks as though the road remains closed at this time."
The road was reopened at around 4pm.
