PORTLAND United have confirmed the retention of goalkeeper Harrison Bruton and attacker Josh Camp for the 2024/25 season.

Both players have agreed terms with the Blues as they look to build on their impressive seventh place in the Velocity Wessex League Premier Division last time out.

Bruton was part of a rearguard that formed the third-meanest defence in the league, with only top-two sides Moneyfields and AFC Stoneham conceding fewer goals.

Bruton signed for Portland last summer, following a frustrating one-year deal with Weymouth in which he did not make his senior debut and only figured five times for the Terras’ under-23s.

However, he turned those statistics on their head with a catalogue of huge saves among his 46 starts, also collecting three player-of-the match awards.

Camp, meanwhile, graduated to the senior team after prolific form in Portland’s reserve side.

He smashed 23 goals in 19 appearances in the Dorset Premier League before climbing up to Step 5 where he managed one goal in 12 games, often forming a key link in Portland’s attacks.

The duo joins skipper Josh Williams, vice Connor Callow, Greg Borthwick, Joe Wickham, Jack Delves and Sam Gadsby in committing to Portland for next season.
