WEYMOUTH have announced a new partnership with a prominent anti-sexism movement.

Coupling with HerGameToo, the Terras will work to improve inclusivity at the Bob Lucas Stadium.

HerGameToo not only tackles sexism, but the voluntary initiative aims to promote and empower women working within the footballing industry.

The Terras have been diligently working to improve their one-club ethos, with a big focus on the women’s team, who now play their home matches at the Bob Lucas Stadium.

It comes after the Terras ahead of the 2020/21 Dorset Women’s League season re-established their women’s side, who have already earned a title win and a promotion in that time.

Weymouth Women have also twice been shortlisted for the grassroots initiative of the year at the prestigious Women’s Football Awards.

In a club statement, the Terras said: “We are delighted to announce our official partnership with @HerGameToo.

“As a community focused club we actively strive to promote safety for all at the ground and work tirelessly to ensure the Bob Lucas Stadium is a safe environment for everyone to come and enjoy football.

“This partnership is a significant step forward as we look to promote further inclusivity around the sport and our club and we look forward to working alongside the charity as we continue to improve the club’s matchday experience for all.”

Taking to social media, HerGameToo stated: “We are delighted to announce that we are now partnered with @theterras.

“We look forward to working together with you and thank you for your continued support for #HerGameToo.”
